Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

We went to Bristol, VA for Christmas this year. It was so great to visit the south again and see friends and family. Once we were there it was like we had never left. So many of the Combs' family were able to come into town it was great to catch up with everyone and see the new generation increasing at each gathering. The weather was so mild, the day after Christmas it was 65 and we just sat in the driveway on the warm pavement and soaked in some sun, because we all know up here we won't have those days for a while yet!

It was nice having a week for vacation, it allowed us to catch up with old friends in Bristol and we were also able to go to Asheville, NC to catch up with some friends there too. Even so, we still didn't have time to see everyone we wanted. I think that always happens unfortunately.

What a great trip to just be surrounded by family and friends. It was great to see everyone and hopefully we'll be back for a visit soon!

Aw, so close but yet so far. I am glad Christmas was so good. I'm sure Adam's family loved having you guys home with them for a little while. Isn't it so hard to divide Christmas? I wish there was some easier way.
Love you guys and can't wait til I get some Annie and Adam time. :)
